Welcome to Scoil Maelruain Junior
Scoil Maelruain Junior was founded in 1975 to provide education for the children of the Old Bawn community. As a junior school, we take great pride in welcoming the youngest members of our community to a school where we provide a holistic and inclusive learning environment.
We aim to work in partnership with parents, families, and the wider community to create a safe and caring environment where every child can reach their full potential.
Our school ethos is Catholic, and we are under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin. We teach our pupils the importance of kindness and respect, both for their friends and for the adults they work with.
In collaboration with our school community, we strive to provide nurturing and positive learning experiences for every pupil, encouraging them to grow in confidence and become independent learners.
Scoil Maelruain Junior has a dedicated team of 25 teaching staff, including one Administrative Principal, 16 mainstream class teachers, one special class teacher, seven Support Education Teachers, and 10.15 SNA posts.
